Van Gogh is my favorite painter. I admire his bold brush work and bright color choices.
After reading his letters to Theo (his brother) I fell more in love with his work than ever, especially the portraits he created of those closest to him.
The way the blue hat is tilted so effortlessly, and the bold yellow color of his jacket, it really drew me to this particular portrait.
