I stopped by the store one day and bought a bundle of baby’s breath and a few hydrangeas and headed straight to my friend’s house, kids in tow.
I knew her house would be perfect for a still-life painting, she had the most beautiful books and handmade pottery! She was a ceramicist after all.
We stacked a few books and took lots and lots of pictures, moving around the vase of flowers and the cup so that it would be perfect.
My friend made that vase and that cup, which makes this painting that much more special.
